Talking of politics, it's good to hear that the Sudanese government - having firmly declared it couldn't possibly intervene in a religious matter - has suddenly discovered new powers than enable it to issue an immediate pardon to the unfortunate teacher Gillian Gibbons and release her. Well I did not know they had till I read it here - because I am at work, WORKING, not watching TV all day. By the way that has spoilt the Six O'clock news for me - it is like knowing the results before Match of the Day..

Too damn right, Nige, but I want to know what happened to the bear. The fate of that poor creature is the untold part of this story.
