In your Pinter piece you say that you don't like his plays less because of his dismal politics.
I wish I could say the same, but I can't. Pinter's politics make me think he is an idiot. Therefore, I can't help thinking that his plays are only pretending to be clever and are, in fact, stupid.
(That said I did like the movie of The Gobetween but that might be only slightly Pinter's fault).
Brit, I agree with you. And his stupid poetic screed against the Iraqi war was even worse. Politics make VERY bad poetry which is why no one knows Elizabeth Barrett Browning for her dozens of poems about the Risorgimento & Garibaldi.
A blog about, among other things, imaginary ideas - What ifs? and Imagine thats. What if photographs looked nothing like what we see with our eyes? Imagine that the Berlin Wall had never come down. What if we were the punchline of an interminable joke? All contributions welcome.

Hey, Bryan: That's the second time Tom P. has made that reference to you trysting with Paris. Are you going to enlighten us?
Personally, I'd have thought Nicole more your type.
