So Brown's unerring political instincts have led him to botch the reshuffle. We really do seem to have entered a political freak show. The chaos is unprecedented. Can he survive the week? Can we?
Tony Blair was not a brilliant shuffler either and aside from Brown's cack-handed management of just about everything I can't help wondering if it is not a complete absence of purpose that makes these exercises seem so dire.
A blog about, among other things, imaginary ideas - What ifs? and Imagine thats. What if photographs looked nothing like what we see with our eyes? Imagine that the Berlin Wall had never come down. What if we were the punchline of an interminable joke? All contributions welcome.
